This week’s high temperatures are no joke. It’s expected to hit triple digits most days through Saturday – and the days that don’t hit 100 are seeing predicted highs of 99.
The American Red Cross has a list of ways to handle stretches of hot weather like we’re seeing this week in San Antonio.
The most obvious tip is to stay inside the air conditioning whenever possible. When you’re away from an air conditioner, try to at least stay in the shade. The hottest part of the day is typically between 11am-5pm, so try and avoid any outside activities during those times. If you have to be outside, stop for a water break every 20 minutes. Also, stay away from alcohol on these days and wear white or light-colored shirts.
