Selma is a historic town in central Texas that was once a major stop on the Chisholm Trail. In 1849, the Harrison and Brown stagecoach stop was built in Selma to handle passengers and freight on the San Antonio to Austin stagecoach line. The old Harrison and Brown Stagecoach Stop has been restored and rechristened the Selma Stage Stop, along with a visitor's center and park.
These days, it's known for its charming small-town atmosphere and The Forum, a 110-shop outdoor mall that opened in 2000.
